Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR)

Social and environmental concerns are at the heart of SCOP Maille Création’s actions.

Beyond its core business, the workshop is committed to having a positive societal impact through its cooperative model and daily initiatives, promoting ever more sustainable production.

Governance

Inherent to its status as a Worker Cooperative and Participative Company (SCOP), SCOP Maille Création operates with full transparency, and power is exercised democratically.

  • 100% of the company’s shareholders are employees
  • 100% of employees are shareholders.

Each employee-shareholder has one vote, regardless of position, seniority, or amount of capital invested. Employee-shareholders elect their leaders and participate in strategic decisions of the company.

Truly Sustainable Development

In 2019, SCOP Maille Création demonstrated strong commitment to greener energy by building a photovoltaic plant near the workshop. The 553 m² of solar panels produce over 50% of the electricity consumed, providing renewable, local, and emission-free energy.

Following this investment, in 2020, several pieces of equipment previously powered by a gas boiler (washing machines, heating) were replaced with machines powered by this solar plant in self-consumption.

Dans la continuité de cet investissement, plusieurs équipements reliés à une chaudière gaz (machines de lavage, chauffage) sont remplacés en 2020 par du matériel alimenté via cette centrale solaire en autoconsommation.

People at the Heart of Work

With support from its Social and Economic Committee (CSE), SCOP Maille Création works daily to improve workplace safety and well-being.

Concrete initiatives, such as the musculoskeletal disorder (MSD) prevention program implemented since 2018, have contributed to the workshop having no workplace accidents for over 10 years.

Each subcontractor commits to respecting all social and human rights and is regularly monitored by SCOP’s teams.

Collective Work for the Future

As a SCOP, the company ensures an equitable distribution of profits: each year, at least one-third of the result is shared as employee profit-sharing.

At the same time, at least one-third of profits are allocated to reserves, enabling investments in efficient and innovative equipment.

Local and Committed

Based in Port-Brillet, Mayenne, SCOP Maille Création is deeply rooted in its territory, works with local service providers, and contributes to economic development in rural areas.
